Highlights Of Your Journey
Day 1 -
Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to ShillongAfter arriving at the airport or railway station in Guwahati, you will be taken to a visit to the famous temples here like the Kamakhya temple and Umananda Temple. Get transferred to Shillong from here and take a short halt at the famous Umiam Lake, the largest manmade lake in the North East. Check-in to your hotel after arriving in Shillong for your overnight stay.
Day 2 -
Shillong Local SightseeingThis morning after breakfast, you will be taken to a short tour of the hill station. Cover major attractions like Cathedral, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, and Police Bazar. The evening will be free to spend as per your wish, post which you will be spending the night in your hotel.
Day 3 -
Shillong to Cherrapunji | Sightseeing in CherrapunjiAfter breakfast in Shillong, the tour will be taking you to Cherrapunji. Falling on the way are the attractions like Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak (the highest point in the state). In Cherrapunji, you will be going to see attractions like Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Falls, and Krem Falls. Check-in to the hotel/homestay for your overnight stay.
Day 4 -
Cherrapunji - Mawllynnong - ShillongAfter having your breakfast, the tour leads you to Asia's cleanest village, Mawllynnong. Roam around the village exploring before you go to see the amazing living root bridges. Following this, you will be transferring close to the international border of Bangladesh to visit the Dawki Village. The small town is famous for having the cleanest rivers ever, so clear that you can see as far as the bottom of it. The Umngot River is the best example of it. Return to Shillong for your overnight stay.
Day 5 -
Shillong to Guwahati for Return FlightAfter breakfast in Shillong, you will be taking a transfer to the airport/railway station in Guwahati for your return journey, bringing the experience to an end.
